Image Size Calculator
Convert between pixels, inches or centimeters, DPI/PPI, and reduced aspect ratios.
Processing happens in your browser and ImageToolMage does not upload the image to our server. Browser extensions, the clipboard, and screen capture can still expose a file on your device.
The file is not resized. Width and height are copied into the pixel fields.
Arithmetic only. DPI and PPI use the same pixels ÷ inches math and are not the same physical system.

How it works
print_inches = pixels ÷ DPI. pixels = inches × DPI. Aspect ratio reduces by greatest common divisor.
Input and output
Input is numbers. Output is derived numbers. An optional image can prefill width and height only.
Examples
Print at 300 DPI
A 3000 × 2400 image prints at 10 × 8 inches at 300 DPI.
Aspect lock
A 1920-wide 16:9 frame is 1080 tall.
How to use this tool
- Enter pixels, print size, or DPI.
- Optionally lock an aspect ratio such as 16:9 or 4:5.
- Read the derived print size, pixels, density, and reduced ratio.
Limitations
- Does not resample or print a file.
- File-size estimates from bit depth are not claimed as real JPEG/PNG sizes.
- Screen PPI and printer DPI are different physical systems.
Questions
Are DPI and PPI the same?
They are often used interchangeably in this calculator. DPI is a print-dot term. PPI is a pixel-density term. The math here is pixels ÷ inches.
Does this change my file?
No. It is arithmetic only. Changing pixels in a file is the resizer's job.
