Image size calculator

Compute megapixels, aspect ratio and print size from dimensions you enter.

No invented DPI from the file unless you supply it. Base64 is a local transform.

Result

  • MP: 2.074
  • Ratio: 16:9
  • Print in: 6.4 × 3.6

Method

Megapixels = (width×height)/1e6. Aspect reduces by GCD. Base64 uses standard alphabet on file bytes.

Assumptions

  • Deterministic arithmetic.
  • Optional print DPI is user-supplied.
  • No cloud image API.

Questions

Does this edit pixels?

The size tool is arithmetic. Base64 encodes bytes; it does not resample.

Is EXIF required?

No. These pilots do not require or strip EXIF unless you use the en-US metadata tool.
